*Very low resolution samples to give you an idea of some of the content of the recording - they sound like they are being played in a bucket of water, but take our word for it that the CD sounds A LOT better!
'Incarnate', our second and probably our most sophisticated release, is somethimes humorously called our "Death & Christmas" CD! It was made in the context of the untimely and tragic demise of several dear friends and acquaintances, as well as in the shadow of 9/11, and was influenced by these experiences. But sorrow does not exist without joy, and both emotions clearly come through on this "mostly Christmas" recording. After all, celebrating the birth of Christ only makes sense in the context of his ultimate fate - to be cruelly crucified and to rise again for the salvation of all. If these things had never happened, then why celebrate his birth? "Incarnate" contains five original tracks, including a new setting of Henry Longfellow's poem "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day". There are also our original arrangements of Christmas favorites like "Deck The Halls" as well as a rendition of Amy Grant's lovely "Emmanuel, God With Us". And here, at last, the CD opens with Feargal's internationally known "Dominican Magnificat" in an exciting new style featuring the vocal skills of gospel singer Elliot Wimbush. To the best of our knowledge, the "Dominican Magnificat" has been unofficially translated into more than 20 languages and is used by Dominican congregations throughout the world!
