Sacred Gateways was launched on October 22nd, 2000, at a concert in Algonquin, IL. Over 300 people attended what was a very musically exciting and spiritually uplifting experience. We played through all the songs on the CD, and finished with the updated version of the Dominican Magnificat, which had the whole place on their feet, clapping their hands and stomping and praising the Lord! The band was great! Mike Knauf set the place on fire with his thrilling Sax improvisations, while Mike Petrie blew the walls down with his drumming. Neal Carpenter supported us with his slick bass riffs, and Karen Thompson charmed our hearts with her superb musicality on the piano. Thirty members of St. Margaret Mary Choir sang like the angels in heaven. If you were not there, you should have been!!!
